cool stuff:

i finally got around to starting work on the picture gallery. i am just going to get a quick and dirty one working, then i will fancy it up with some neat effects that i have in mind. it is partially working right now, so you can check it out.

i just got a new bike on saturday, a trek 4900, and so far, i'm liking it. i took it to and from work today (~9 km each way), and really enjoyed the ride. the traffic was surprisingly light and it only took me a few more minutes than it does by car. no complaints here!

it seems like such a trivial thing, but i finally got the menu working properly. i decided to completely rewrite the menu code, because i think i was overcomplicating things. it now works in less than half the code i had before. yay for me!

i have added some fx to the site, thanks to moo.fx. however, the menu seems to act a bit funky when using ie6. i'll try and get that fixed shortly. it does work fine with firefox and opera. it also appears to work fine with ie7, however, i think my background is causing ie7 to run really slow. i will look into both issues and hopefully have them fixed soon.

i am in the process of tweaking the layout a bit. bear with me as i try and find something that i like looking at. any comments would be appreciated. don't be shy now!

i have switched hosting companies, and the transition seems to be fairly smooth. everything seems to be working how it was before, but i haven't got any of the picture galleries up yet. i am planning on doing the picture galleries differently, but i haven't totally decided what i want to do. anyhow, they should be back up shortly.
