preventing boredom
|
|
this is just an update so jayme doesn't get too bored reading the
same old thing. maybe you should think about updating your own site,
since i am very bored at looking at that damned bobcat.

messed up the date
|
|
well, i really messed up the dates on all the news items. silly me. i
will try and recover them from a backup if i can find one.

it's been a while...
|
wow, almost 10 months since my last update. a few obvious thing, i've
switched over to my new layout. the new commenting system is in place
and hopefully should work. the rest of the content should slowly start
coming over soon too.
other things to note, Manutrain Solutions, the company i work for, has
changed it's name to uniPoint.
we've been extremely busy there, but we finally have a few beta sites
running with our new product, and everything seems to be going good so
far.

here. it isn't much right
now, i was just getting the classes and templates working properly.

this is my brand new desk at my brand new job! i started on monday at
Manutrain Solutions. got two
nice 19 inch dell lcd's, i have never worked with dual monitors
before, and i must say that it is very nice. very handy for coding
and debugging and what not. the picture was taken on my fairly new motorola
v551, which i am quite pleased with so far. i also made a
nibbles-like game for it, which i will make available here to the
general public shortly, once i get it working a bit better and some
of the bugs ironed out.
and yes, i know i mentioned something about a site redesign, although
i haven't actually started anything, i am pretty sure that i will be
going with the smarty templating
engine, just to seperate the code from the interface a bit better. i
also have a few ideas that i'd like to try out to make the site a
little easier to navigate and hopefully more user-friendly.

wow, this
article, by tim buckley, of ctrl+alt+del, pretty
much says everything says exactly what i think, only with better
wording. have a read! this is actually the second in a series, the
first, has the complete opposite view, so you may want to take a
peek at that one too.

if you are unsatisfied with the usual mapping websites, then check out
google maps. simply put, they
are amazing. if you're a bit of a geek and want to know how they
work, there is a very informative
article on the subject.
also, i feel it is time for yet another site redesign, i've been
thinking about some new layouts and maybe in the next little while
you will see some changes here.
